2008 Rains County Founders Day Festival


 Friday, May 2 – Saturday, May 3rd

 Activities will be held at the Rains County Fairgrounds and the City Park

 

            The Annual Rains County Founders Day Festival is a celebration of the heritage and pioneer spirit of Rains County! The festival is also a fund raiser for our local charities, raising over $58,000 over the past five years! The charities to benefit from the Rains County Founders Day Festival are the Rains County Volunteer Fire Department; Rains County Good Samaritans; and the Rains County 4-H Club.

 

            This years festival will begin Friday afternoon, May 2nd, with a Butterfly Release at the City Park, followed by “The Taste of Rains” put on by our local restaurants. Saturday, May 3rd, activities include a parade, pageant, duck race, kid’s tractor pull, shows and exhibits, antique cars and tractors, musical performances, and more! Good, old fashioned, family fun and food!
