 Activities will be held at the Rains County Fairgrounds and the City Park

 

The Annual Rains County Founders Day Festival is a celebration of the heritage and pioneer spirit of Rains County! The festival is also a fund raiser for our local charities, raising over $73,000 over the past six years! The charities to benefit from the Rains County Founders Day Festival are the Rains County Volunteer Fire Departments; Rains County Good Samaritans; and the Rains County 4-H Club.

This year’s festival will begin Friday evening, May 8th, with our “The Taste of Rains” put on by our local restaurants and a silent auction sponsored by the Rains County Chamber of Commerce and a Quilt Show presented by our local Piecemakers Quilt Club!  

Saturday, May 9th, activities include a Pancake Breakfast sponsored by the Rains County Lions Club, a 2K Run, parade, “Forever Ford” Car Show, duck race, Kid activities, a Chicken Roast sponsored by the Rains County VFDs, a kid’s tractor pull, shows and exhibits, antique tractors, “3 on 3” Basketball tournament  closing with a fundraiser dinner by St. John’s Church!

Join us for a full day of good, old fashioned, family fun and food!
