2010 Rains County Founders Day Festival

Friday, April 30 – Saturday, May 1st

 Activities will be held at the Rains County Fairgrounds and the City Park

            The Annual Rains County Founders Day Festival is a celebration of the heritage and pioneer spirit of Rains County! The festival is also a fund raiser for our local charities and has raised more than $85,000 over the past seven years! The charities to benefit from the Rains County Founders Day Festival are the Rains County Volunteer Fire Department; Rains County Good Samaritans; and the Rains County 4-H Club.

            This year’s festival will begin Friday evening, April 30th, with our “The Taste of Rains” put on by our local restaurants and a silent auction sponsored by the Rains County Chamber of Commerce, a Quilt Show presented by our local Peicemakers Quilt Club and Wildcat Bingo hosted by the Rain High School Athletic Department!  

Saturday, May 1st, activities include a Pancake Breakfast sponsored by the Rains County Lions Club, a 2K Run, parade, “Forever Ford” Car Show, Kid activities, a Chicken Roast sponsored by the Rains County VFDs, a kid’s tractor pull, shows and exhibits, 42 Domino Tournament, a “3 on 3” Basketball tournament, a Duck Race at the City Park followed by our Annual “Duck Derby”!!!

 

 

 

 

 

The concert is on Saturday, May 1, 2010.  It will begin at 7:00 with the Clay Wilson Band… then at 8:30 pm Ryan Beaver will perform.  Location is yet to be determined! Click on picture to order tickets.
